The first snow

Well, better late than never. Winter is finally here.

Today marks the first measurable snowfall we've seen this season. At 7:15 p.m., Johnston is nearing 10 inches of snow with a few hours left to go yet. I've been in all day today working on a team project for school, but still managed to take a quick break to get the mail - thus the image from my brief trek. It's really cool that the flash not only picks up, but seems to also blow up the snowflakes as they're falling.

So what's in store for tomorrow?

45 degrees and considerable melting.

Though I'll never understand the mystery behind New England weather, I'll take today over "hazy, hot and humid" anyday.
